A dual port memory and a method for directly transferring a command between processors are provided to transfer commands between processors connected to a dual port memory without acquisition of right to reduce a dual port memory occupying time of a processor. A dual port memory(408) includes a memory array(418), a first memory interface(414), a second memory interface(416), and a command transfer processor(422). The memory array has a shared memory region(426). The first memory interface performs a write or read operation on the shared memory region based on address and control signals provided by a first processor(400) through a first port(410). The second memory interface carries out a write or read operation on the shared memory region based on address and control signals provided by a second processor(404) through a second port(412). The command transfer processor directly transfers a command output through one of the first and second memory interfaces from one of the first and second processors to the other processor.
