MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS CELL CHANGING PROCEDURE

A mobile communications cell changing procedure is provided to perform pre-configuration for cells adjacent to a best cell, thereby reducing the additional allocation of resources for an improved HSDPA(High Speed Downlink Packet Access) re-pointing procedure. A cell changing procedure comprises the following steps of: receiving a measurement report from an UE(User Equipment); enabling an SRNC(Serving Radio Network Controller) to control a new node B so as to configure information about a packet data service previously in response to the measurement report; adding a radio link to a cell to be added and controlling the UE so as to configure information about the packet data service previously in response to the measurement report; receiving a measurement report about a best cell change from the UE; and controlling the new node B so as to perform packet data service scheduling for the UE in response to the measurement report about the best cell change.
