A shift register for a gate driver is provided to enhance the stability of driver by compensating for the attenuation of driving voltage and reducing the noise of threshold voltage using a capacitor. A shift register includes first and second nodes, a driver transistor(M4), a reset transistor(M3), a charge/discharge circuit(102), a threshold voltage detector(104), and a memory capacitor(Cm). A gate of the driver transistor is connected to the first node, a drain thereof is connected to a clock signal, and a source thereof outputs output signals. A gate of the reset transistor receives an output signal from a next stage shift register as a reset signal, a source thereof is connected to a first low level voltage, and a drain thereof is connected to the first node. The charge/discharge circuit used for receiving input and control signals is connected to the second node. The threshold voltage detector used for receiving the control signal is connected to the first node and the source of the driver transistor. The memory capacitor having first and second terminals, which are respectively connected to the first and second nodes, stores a threshold voltage of the driver transistor.
