CAVITATION PREVENTION STRUCTURE FOR CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR

A cavitation prevention structure for a centrifugal compressor is provided to prevent damage to an oil pump by canceling the flow of refrigerant gas with the spraying pressure. A cavitation prevention structure for a centrifugal compressor(10) comprises a transmission part(14), an oil pump(24), and a pipe(30). The transmission part includes a driving gear(16), which is engaged with a driven gear(18), inside a housing in order to raise refrigerant gas into high pressure. The oil pump is installed at the lower part of the transmission part to be submerged in working fluid. The pipe sprays portions of the refrigerant gas and the working fluid compressed from a compressor to the transmission part. The cavitation is prevented by canceling the flow of the refrigerant gas due to the rotation of the transmission part with the spraying pressure from a spray hole(32).
