<p>A liquid crystal medium, an electrooptical liquid crystal display containing the liquid crystal medium, and a method for preparing the liquid crystal medium are provided to improve response time and dielectric anisotropy, to reduce rotational viscosity and critical voltage and to widen nematic phase range. A liquid crystal medium comprises at least one compound represented by the formula I, wherein R0 is a C1-C15 alkyl or alkoxy group whose at least one CH2 can be substituted with a triple bond of C-C, -CF2O-, -CH=CH-, -O-, -CO-O-, -O-CO- and whose at least one H can be substituted with a halogen atom; L1 is H or F; and n is 1 or 2.</p> |
