The sill (1) has sealing and closing units (5) to partially close a guiding groove (4) after opening a sliding opening (2). The units have a covering joint (6) extended above the groove in a manner that the joint is supported on longitudinal edges (7, 8) of the groove. The joint is integrated to one of the edges of the groove in an articulated and flexible manner, and is made of synthetic material. A gripping groove is arranged at the level of the edge (7), and communicates with disengagement openings at the level of an end part of the sill.
