A waterproof cover for an audio system has a frame 30 and a shield 10 pivotally connected to the frame to seal an aperture 300 against water when in a closed position. The frame has two elongated recesses or grooves 32 in its side and a trough 33 in its bottom side. The shield has two rails 12 on its sides that are received by the elongated recesses 32. A water blocking flange 13 between the two rails is received by the trough 33 and a flange 14 on the top of the shield abuts the top edge of the frame. Therefore, all edges of the frame are sealed by the shield and water is prevented from seeping into the audio system. |
