<p>The method involves detecting data for determining a lane level (12) and a driving axle (17) of a motor vehicle (1) during starting of the vehicle. An adjustment assistance device (19) is placed before a vehicle environmental sensor i.e. distance sensor (4), or a headlight (2, 3) of the vehicle, and the sensor or the headlight is aligned at the assistance device relative to the driving axle and the lane level. Adjusting of the sensor or the headlight to the assistance device is determined, and the sensor or the headlight is aligned during the presence of misalignment. An independent claim is also included for a device for aligning a vehicle environmental sensor or a headlight in a motor vehicle.</p> |
