METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUMMARIZING TITLE IN MEDIA PLAYER

A method and an apparatus for summarizing title information in a media player are provided to read title summary information from a DB(Data Base) when an icon is selected and display the title summary information so as to allow a user to check basic and chapter information of the title easily. A method for summarizing title information in a media player comprises: informing a user that title summary information exists as an icon on a screen(450); reading the title summary information from a DB when the icon is selected(452,454); displaying the title summary information(456); checking whether a chapter is selected in the summary information(458); and starting the reproduction from the chapter when the chapter is selected from the summary information(470).
