AIR CLEANING APPARATUS FOR AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLES

An air cleaning apparatus for a vehicle is provided to prevent generation of germs and fungus due to increase of indoor humidity by installing a control part for maintaining an ion generator in a clean mode. An air cleaning apparatus for a vehicle comprises an air cleaning apparatus, a fog removing apparatus, a fog removing apparatus detecting unit, and a control part(50). The air cleaning apparatus consists of a housing having an air cleaning passage(12), and an ion generator(40) sterilizing and deodorizing germs and fungus in air by discharging negative ion and positive ion into the air of the air cleaning passage. The ion generator is operated by a clean mode increasing a discharge amount of negative and positive ions and an ion mode reducing the discharge amount of negative and positive ions. The fog removing device detecting unit detects that the fog removing apparatus is turned on to remove fog on a window in case of increase of indoor humidity. The control part maintains the ion generator in the clean mode by outputting a clean mode signal if a signal is input from the fog removing apparatus detecting unit, and alternatively operates the ion generator in the clean mode and ion mode by removing a clean mode signal if a signal is removed from the fog removing apparatus.
