A device and a method for generating test spec automatically, and a recording medium storing the same are provided to reduce cost for making the test spec and prevent human error in making the test spec by extracting a linear independent path from a flowchart of a software program and generating the test spec automatically based on the linear independent path. An input unit(10) receives a flowchart of a software program. A controller(60) makes a test procedure of a linear independent path based on execution and branch nodes of the linear independent path by determining at least one linear independent path from the received flowchart, and outputs the test procedure to an output unit(20). A node storing part(30) stores the execution and branch nodes of the linear independent path. The controller verifies whether the linear independent path can be made from the received flowchart, and outputs an alarm through the output unit when the linear independent path can be made.
