A pair of binoculars in which one lens 35 of each ocular-objective lens system is mounted in a sleeve which is slidably mounted in a generally rectangular lens case 10 or 11, slidable on a connecting bridge 12; the bridge carries lens focusing means comprising two rotatable bolts 21 having eccentric end portions 30 exposed in the eases, lever arms 23 to rotate the bolts and two transmission yokes 32 operatively connected the eccentric end portions of the bolts with the lens sleeves. In the embodiment shown, the eccentrics, 30 engage slots 31 in the yokes, and as the bolts rotate the eccentrics bear against the sides of the slots and slidably move the yokes 32 and hence the lens sleeve against which they abut. |
