发明名称 Improved process for the dyeing of polypeptide fibres and the resulting products
摘要 Level dyeings on polypeptide fibres, such as wool, silk or polyamide fibres, are obtained by impregnating them with a solution of a neutral to weakly acid drawing wool dyestuff at a temperature below that at which the dyestuff draws and then developing the dyeing in an aqueous bath at a temperature of at least 50 DEG C. which contains dilute acid and, dissolved or emulsified therein, at least one organic solvent which is liquid under the conditions of use, which wets the fibres, which at least partially dissolves the dyestuff and which is not completely miscible with water at room temperature. The dyestuff solution is preferably thickened with a soluble alginate salt, if desired, together with an alkyl cellulose, a cellulose glycollic acid alkali metal salt or a soluble vegetable gum, and preferably also contains an esteror amide-like condensation product of a fatty acid of 8-16 carbon atoms with an alkanolamine. Suitable p dyestuffs are specified. The acid of the development bath may be sulphuric, phosphoric, formic, lactic, chloroacetic, sulphoacetic or an alkyl- or arylsulphonic acid. Specified organic solvents are butanols, pentanols, hexanols, arylalkanols, alkoxyalkanols, aryloxyalkanols, aliphatic hydroxy acid esters, higher ketones, phenols, aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes, aldehyde hydrates, aromatic or aliphatic chlorohydrocarbons and alkyl- or alkoxy-aromatic hydrocarbons, and the preferred solvent is benzyl alcohol. The developing bath may also contain glauber salt or sodium chloride. The impregnated fibres may be dried or steamed prior to treatment in the developing bath. Alternatively, the developed dyeings may be finally steamed. Examples are given.
