A method for notifying the number of wireless devices connectable to a display device and the display device using the same are provided to determine the number of the wireless devices periodically which are connectable to the display device by wireless even though there is no special request of a user and notify the user of the number of the wireless devices connectable to the display device. A method for notifying the number of wireless devices connectable to a display device comprises the following steps of: determining the number of the wireless devices which are positioned adjacent to the display device and are connectable to the display device(S315); and displaying the determined number of the wireless devices on a display installed in the display device(S320).
