A schedule-table presenting apparatus and a schedule-table presenting method are provided to display information about plural events in a limited display area and make a user recognize the number and start time of events easily, thereby presenting a more visible and easier schedule table. A TV broadcast receiving apparatus includes a scheduling acquisition unit(50), a scheduling table generator(51), a display control unit(53), and a display unit(52). The scheduling acquisition unit acquires a schedule including the broadcast start time of each event and a description text for describing each event. The scheduling table generator allocates a specific event to a first broadcast program frame and allocates plural other events except the specific event to a second broadcast program frame according to the importance of each event on the basis of the schedule acquired by the scheduling acquisition unit. The broadcast start time of the specific event and the description text for the specific event can be displayed in the first broadcast program frame. The broadcast start time of each of the other events can be displayed in the second broadcast program frame. The size of the second broadcast program frame is smaller than the first broadcast program frame. The scheduling table generator generates a schedule table including the first broadcast program frame and the second broadcast program frame. The display control unit displays the generated schedule table on the display unit.
