An agent for treating atopy and a method for preparing the same are provided to obtain a therapeutic agent of the atopy from natural ingredients extracted from medicinal herbs without any chemical treatment, thereby being effectively used by everybody to treat the atopy without any side effects. An agent for treating atopy comprises an extract of plants, wherein the plants are roots of Rumex crispus, Ulmi cortex, Rehmannia glutinosa, Angelicae Gigantis Radix, and Perilla frutescens var. japonica Hara. A method for preparing the agent for treating atopy comprises the steps of: (a) preparing roots of Rumex crispus, Ulmi cortex, Rehmannia glutinosa, Angelicae Gigantis Radix, and Perilla frutescens var. japonica Hara; (b) obtaining an extract of the Ulmi cortex; (c) respectively obtaining an extract from the roots of Rumex crispus, Rehmannia glutinosa, Angelicae Gigantis Radix, and Perilla frutescens var. japonica Hara; and (d) mixing the extracts with water.
