<p>A sheet feeding device and an image forming apparatus are provided to simultaneously perform rear part control operation of a rear part control member and extension operation of a sheet cassette by one operation of a rear part control lever. A sheet feeding device includes a sheet cassette(2). The sheet cassette has a first cassette unit(3), a second cassette unit(4), and a fixing unit. The second cassette unit is slidingly connected to the first cassette unit to change a size of a sheet receiving unit according to a size of a received sheet. The fixing unit fixes the first and second cassettes in a state in which the sheet cassette is contracted or extended by sliding of the second cassette unit. The fixing of the fixing unit is released by one of sliding operation of the second cassette unit in a contraction direction to contract the sheet cassette and sliding operation of the second cassette unit in an extension direction in order to extend the sheet cassette.</p> |
