A system and a method for blocking spam mails are provided to block the spam mails effectively by authenticating a sender of a received email with an authentication email and transferring the email received from the authenticated sender to an email account of a receiver. An email transceiver(10) receives/temporarily stores emails to a temporary storing part(20) after an authentication email is sent to a sender, deletes the stored emails when a response is not received, and transfers the stored emails to a receiver mail account of an email server(200) when the response is received. A black list(70) stores an email or IP(Internet Protocol) address of the senders refused by all receivers registered in the email server. A black list blocker(50) blocks the emails received from the email or IP address included in the blacklist among the received emails. A white list(30) stores the email address of the authenticated senders and the email address registered by the receiver. An authenticator(40) transmits the authentication email to the email address of the sender and authenticates the sender depending on the response of the sender when the email address of the sender is not found in the white list.
