HANDOVER METHOD AND SYSTEM IN WIBRO NETWORK

A handover method in a Wibro network and a system thereof are provided to configure a target BS with a high priority in the high rank of a neighbor list in the Wibro network, thereby reducing the scanning time of a terminal to improve handover delay. A main processor(211) in the RAS#0(Radio Access System)(210) of a serving BS(Base Station) receives load information about target BS(RAS#1) adjacent to a current serving BS. The main processor sets priority suitable for each BS. The main processor transmits a SET-NBR-ADV message to a modem(213) according to a BS with a high priority. The modem transmits an MOB-NBR-ADV message to a PSS(Portable Subscriber Station)(100). The PSS scans only partial BSs.
