A block gauge is provided to measure size of an opening, a groove, and a clearance of objects by employing a body staged in multi stage like a stairway. A block gauge includes a block body having a stairway shape. The block body inclines gradually in one direction, and having a plurality of plane surfaces(112) and vertical surfaces(114). The plane surfaces have the same height difference. To measure a clearance, the block gauge is inserted in the clearance.
