It is intended to provide a cell culture apparatus which makes it possible to conduct cell culture appropriate for the cell culture states while reducing operator's efforts. A cell culture apparatus which has a culture bag (18) for proliferating cells, a cell inoculation cassette (19) for stimulating the cells with an inducer for the proliferation (or a culture bag (242) to be used as a culture container for antibody-stimulation and proliferation), a medium cassette (20) for storing a medium that is supplied to the culture bag (18) and the cell inoculation cassette (19), a CCD camera (88) for obtaining an image of the cells in the cell inoculation cassette, and an image-processing computer and an operation-controlling computer by which the culture states of the cells (the proliferability and proliferation ability of the cells) are judged based on the cell image obtained by the CCD camera and thus conducting the culture operation on the basis of this judgment.
