An apparatus for controlling a heater in an ink jet printer head is provided to prevent strobe signals from enabling by using limit signals made by independent limiter clock. An apparatus for controlling a heater in an ink jet printer head comprises an input data processing unit(10), a heater control unit, a strobe signal generating unit(20), and a limit circuit(200). The input data processing unit processes data input by a printer main body. The heater control unit controls a heater based on data from the input data processing unit and strobe signals for setting drive time of the heater. The strobe singal generating unit creates strobe singals by synchronizing with a load signal of the printer main body. The limit circuit limits pulse width of the strobe signal of the strobe signal generating unit.
