A freeze protection device is provided to prevent a fluid container from bursting by discharging fluid in the fluid container as mush as inner increased inner pressure through a freeze protection unit. A freeze protection device comprises a fluid container, a fluid discharge member(32), a fluid inflow member(34), a shutoff member(36), an elastic member(38), and a fixing member(39). The fluid container stores fluid which freezes at low temperature and increases volume thereof. The fluid discharge member includes a male thread(32b) at one end, a female thread(32c) at the other end, and a drain path(32a) at the center. The male thread is fixed to the fluid container. The female thread is inserted in the fluid container. The drain path discharge fluid outside. Having an inner space, the fluid inflow member includes a female thread(34a), a male thread(34b), and an inflow hole(35). The female and male threads are respectively formed on inner and outer surfaces of an opened one side. The inflow hole is formed at the other side to let the fluid come in. The shutoff member, which is installed in the fluid inflow member, opens and shuts off the inflow hole according to inner pressure of the fluid container. The elastic member supports the shutoff member. The fixing member includes a male thread engaging with the female thread of the fluid inflow member, and a through-hole(39b) communicating with the drain path of the fluid discharge member. The fixing member holds the elastic member. A hollow rubber tube(40) is installed at one side of the fixing member. The shutoff member is a ball. |
