A food garbage pulverizing apparatus which supplies easily food garbage to a pulverizing unit via an inflow part is provided. In a food garbage pulverizing apparatus(100) for injecting food garbage into a cylindrical body(1) via an inflow part(10) and pulverizing food garbage using a screw(2) rotated in the cylindrical body to discharge the pulverized food garbage, the food garbage pulverizing apparatus comprises an injection unit(200), the injection unit including a motion conversion part(210) connected to a drive motor(3) to convert a rotary motion into a straight reciprocating motion and a punch part(220) connected to the motion conversion part to push food garbage through a vertical reciprocating movement such that food garbage of the inflow part is easily discharged into the cylindrical body via a discharge port(12) formed on a bottom part of the inflow part. The motion conversion part comprises: a rotary shaft which is rotated by the drive motor, and which has spiral grooves formed on an outer peripheral surface thereof oppositely to each other such that the spiral grooves are connected to each other at both end portions of the rotary shaft; and an outer drum which is joined with the rotary shaft and has bearing balls housed on an inner peripheral surface thereof, the bearing balls being joined with the spiral grooves and straightly reciprocated along the rotary shaft by the rotation of the rotary shaft. |
