An LCD and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to expand an adhesion area of a lower polarizing plate attached to a lower surface of a lower substrate, thereby preventing a crack of an LC panel and protecting the LC panel. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) manufacturing method comprises the following steps. An LC panel including upper/lower substrate and an LC layer injected between the upper/lower substrates is supplied(S111). An upper polarizing plate is attached to an upper surface of the upper substrate(S113). A component is mounted on an exposed upper surface of the lower substrate(S115). When the component is mounted, a lower polarizing plate is attached to the whole lower surface of the lower substrate(S117). |
