METHOD FOR SELECTING ANTENNA OF MIMO SYSTEM USING SCHUR DECOMPOSITION

An antenna selection method of an MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) system using Schur decomposition is provided to be capable of selecting an antenna through the Schur decomposition, thereby obtaining higher performance than SVD(Singular Value Decomposition). Multiple transmission antennas(190-1~190-K) are equipped. A transmission processor(110) generates a data symbol from an inputted bitstream. An MIMO preprocessor(120) processes the data symbol by using a precoding matrix, and generates transmission signals transmitted through the multiple transmission antennas. The precoding matrix is obtained by performing Schur decomposition for a channel matrix H. An MIMO postprocessor(220) processes receiving signals incoming from reception antennas(290-1~290-L) by using a postprocessing matrix. A reception processor(250) restores a bitstream from a postprocessed symbol.
