A lift-type emergency escape device for a skyscraper is provided to enable residents to escape from a fire to a rooftop of an adjacent skyscraper or to the ground through a space between the skyscrapers. An escape device includes: a driving wheel(1) substituting for a chain sprocket and installed on a rooftop of one skyscraper; a driven wheel(2) substituting for a chain sprocket and installed on a rooftop of the other skyscraper adjacent to one skyscraper; an endless track(3) suspended between the driving wheel and the driven wheel, and provided with chain element stoppers(4) at pitch intervals; a track guide car(5) installed at the front of the wheels; a carrier(6) having a seat belt-attached sheet(7) and installed between the stoppers; a geared motor for driving the driving wheel; and a sensor(9) attached to the side of the driving wheel so as to sense the arrival of the carrier carrying the resident and to notify it to the driving wheel.
