A clamping apparatus of a spindle motor is provided to insert the upper edge of the inner circumference of a disk to a holding groove so that the disk is stably supported with stoppers and prevented from separating from the clamping apparatus. A clamping apparatus(170) of a spindle motor comprises a body(171), a plurality of stoppers(173), an elastic member(175), and a claw. A disk(50) is inserted to the outer periphery of the body. The stoppers support the disk inserted to the body, with one end placed outside the body and the other end placed inside the body. The elastic member is installed in the body to elastically support the stoppers to the outer side of the body. The claw prevents the disk from separating from the body. The claw is a holding groove in which the upper edge of the inner circumference of the disk is inserted.
