OPTICAL FIBER WITH AIR HOLES AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR OPTICAL FIBER THEREOF

An optical fiber with air holes and a method of manufacturing the optical fiber are provided to enable a user to easily install the optical fiber in a house by freely adjusting a bending property of the optical fiber. An optical fiber includes plural air holes(23), which are arranged around a core(21) doped with GeO2 inside the optical fiber. An angle between a center of the core and the air hole lies between 50 and 72 degrees. The optical fiber has a loss value between 0.18 and 0.23 dB/km, an MFD(Mode Field Diameter) between 9.0 and 10.5 um, and a dispersion value between 17 and 20 ps/nm/km at a wavelength band of 1550 nm. A bending loss of the optical fiber for a bending test at a diameter of 10 mm lies between 0.01 and 0.07 dB at the wavelength band of 1550 nm.
