Producing a complex part by injection molding of complementary portions of the part comprises welding the portions together in an assembly device comprising welding blocks operated in synchrony with the opening and closing of the mold. An independent claim is also included for apparatus for producing a complex part as above, comprising an injection mold, welding blocks for receiving and holding the molded portions, a welding tool and a device for transferring the molded portions from the mold to the welding blocks, where the welding blocks are connected to parts of the mold.
