WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK WITH LINEAR STRUCTURE BEING CAPABLE OF BIDIRECTIONAL COMMUNICATION AND METHOD THEREOF

A wireless sensor network having a linear structure capable of performing bidirectional data communication and a method therefor are provided to comprise an upstream duration and a downstream duration within a single period of an active duration, thereby performing all of bidirectional communication within the single period. Each node comprises an active duration(100) for transceiving data between an upper node and lower nodes. The active duration consists of a downstream duration(110) for transmitting data/commands to a terminal node from a sink node, and an upstream duration(130) for transmitting data/commands to the sink node from the terminal node. Bidirectional communication is executed between the sink node and the terminal node within a single period of the active duration.
