#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a metallic insert (9) inserted between a valve seat (7) and a cylinder head (1) of an internal combustion engine. The valve seat is mounted in a shoulder (8) of an intake pipe (2). A semi-torus (9a) is supported against the cylinder head and extended towards the interior of the pipe, where the semi-torus generates rotational movement e.g. swirl movement, in a combustion chamber. The insert is oriented along a plane transversal to a main gas flow direction. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for restricting a swirl/tumble type intake pipe (claimed) containing gas, in a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine so as to open the pipe into a combustion chamber of the engine when a valve is supported against a valve seat. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The insert can be made of plastic material. The device provides specific geometry for each cylinder of the engine, and simplifies the shape of the swirl type intake pipe.
