MOBILE TERMINAL COMPRISING CROWN KEY AND METHOD FOR EXECUTING FUNCTION THEREOF

A portable terminal having a crown key and a method for executing various functions using the same are provided to execute various functions conveniently according to rotation directions and angles which are generated as a crown key is physically rotated. A portable terminal comprises a case, a display part(21), a crown key(34), a control part, a call key(35), and an end key(36). The case consists of a first case(11) and a second case(13). The first case has the display part. The second case, rotatively connected with the first case, has the crown key and the control part. The display part, installed at a side of the first case, displays information having a plurality of changeable items. The crown key is rotatively installed at a side of the second case. The control part, embedded in the second case, focuses a specific one among the changeable items by locating a focus at the specific item. Also the control part performs refocusing by shifting the focus from the specific item to another one according to the rotation of the crown key. The call key and the end key are respectively installed at both sides of the crown key. The call key selects a focused item. The end key brings the present function to an end.
