PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission line characteristic estimation means capable of estimating transmission line characteristics of reception signals by a simple circuit configuration even if a pilot symbol is arranged at an optional subcarrier position in frequency division multiplexed reception signals. SOLUTION: The transmission line characteristic estimation apparatus 6 comprises: a transmission line characteristic interpolation means 63 for interpolating the transmission line characteristics between frequency positions of the pilot symbols with the transmission line characteristics obtained from reception values of the pilot symbols arranged at prescribed fixed frequency intervals as sample values; and a pilot symbol estimation means 61 for estimating the respective reception values of the pilot symbols arranged at the prescribed fixed frequency intervals from the reception value of the pilot symbol extracted from the reception signals. In the pilot symbol estimation means 61, the reception value of the pilot symbol in a section held between pilot subcarriers is calculated by linearly interpolating the reception value of the pilot symbol in the pilot subcarrier.
