PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fault due to selfish use, unauthorized use and utilization of all softwares, when internal storage devices of image processors of a plurality of machine types having some functions are stored with softwares needed by all the machine types. SOLUTION: An image processor includes an internal storage medium 6 stored with respective programs of a plurality of image processing functions, devices 2, 17, ..., for executing the functions, means 6 and 8 for reading recording data of external storage media 12 and 13 inserted into slots 6 and 8, in-use function setting means 1 and 9 for selecting usable functions using function data in the recording data as keys, selecting programs of the usable functions from the internal storage medium, and setting them usable, means 9 and 16 for inputting user instructions, and means 1 and 2 for executing the programs of the usable functions according to the user instructions to control the devices 2, 17, ...
