PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a direction of a mobile station accurately, with enhancing the estimation accuracy, when it is estimated that a plurality of arrival directions are existed between a predetermined angle rangeΔθin the case of detecting the position of the mobile station, estimating the arrival direction of radio wave by using a hyper-resolution ability arrival direction estimation technique, such as MUSIC or the like. SOLUTION: The received signal of an array antenna 1 consisting of K pieces of antenna elements is input into an arrival direction estimation part 3 via a receiver 2, and the direction of arrival is estimated by using super resolution algorithm, such as MUSIC algorithm or the like. A peak search part withinΔθ4 determines whether the plurality of directions of arrival are detected within the predetermined angle rangeΔθfrom the result of direction of arrival estimation. When the plurality of directions of arrival are detected within the rangeΔθ, aθf decision part 5 determines the one direction of arrival in the plurality of directions of arrival within the predetermined angle range as the final direction of arrival within this angle range. Each received electric power at the directions of arrival of out of range ofΔθand the directions of arrival decided by theθf decision part 5 is calculated by a received electric power calculation part 6.
