PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning body having a plurality of gas chambers communicating with each others, hardly generating abnormal noise due to the movement of a gas between the gas chambers, and capable of easily producing elongate ones, and a producing method of the same. SOLUTION: The cushioning body has at least one cushioning unit 2, the plurality of chambers 7 surrounded with membranous bodies 3, 4 is arranged in each of cushioning unit 2, the adjacent two gas chambers 7 are in communication with communication openings 9. A cord-like body 10 is passed through each of the communication openings 9 to prevent inner faces of the membranous bodies 3, 4 from sticking each other in the communication openings 9. In the producing method, desired portions of the membranous bodies 3, 4 are sealed each other to make partitioning seal portions with the cord-like body 10 positioned between the membranous bodies 3, 4 facing each other to form a plurality of partitioning gas chambers 7 with the partitioning seal portions, and the communication openings 9 are formed with unsealed portions 8 where there is no partitioning seal portions.
