PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiotherapy system capable of more accurately controlling the dose of radiation. SOLUTION: The radiotherapy system 1 comprises free waveguides 74, 75, 86 and 87 deforming a part of waveguides for transmitting high-frequency waves from a high-frequency source 5 to an acceleration tube 64, and an irreversible circuit element 77 interposed between the acceleration tube 64 and the free waveguide 74, 75, 86 or 87 among the waveguides. The acceleration tube 64 accelerates charged particles 57 for generating therapeutic radiation 23 using high-frequency waves. The radiotherapy system 1 can prevent offsetting of high-frequency waves and distortion of waveforms when the irreversible circuit element 77 attenuates the reflected portion of the high-frequency waves advancing in the waveguides from the acceleration tube 64 to the high-frequency source 5 as compared to the advancing portion of the high-frequency waves advancing in the waveguides from the high-frequency source 5 to the acceleration tube 64, and can reduce the variation in the transmission efficiency, and therefore, the dose of the therapeutic radiation 23 can be accurately controlled.
