<p>A cooling type imaging apparatus comprises an image sensor, a cooling element for cooling the image sensor, an optical glass plate for shifting a light beam entering the image sensor in the plane of the image sensor, a means for oscillating the optical glass plate, a means for driving the oscillation means, and a control means for oscillating the optical glass plate by the oscillation means before starting operation of the cooling element. Movement of air is accelerated before starting the cooling operation by moving the air containing moisture in the vicinity of the imaging plane of the image sensor positively, thus suppressing dew formation on the imaging plane of the image sensor.</p> |
