Disclosed is a method for producing a dry yeast containing S-adenosyl-L-m ethionine by using an yeast capable of producing S-adenosyl-L-methionine. Th e method is characterized by adding a cyclodextrin to an yeast cell condensa tion product produced from a cell culture of the yeast and drying the result ing product. Also disclosed is an SAMe-containing dry yeast produced by the method. Further disclosed is a composition produced by using the dry yeast. It becomes possible to produce a dry yeast containing S-adenosyl-L-methionin e (which is useful as a water-soluble physiologically active substance) at a high concentration and having excellent storage stability and a composition produced by using the dry yeast in a simple manner and at low cost and intr oduce the dry yeast and the composition on the market.
