PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of performing processing for shifting spatial relative positions of photographed images obtained by two imaging devices by a half pixel even during photography.

SOLUTION: This stereoscopic image pickup position adjusting device 3 includes an image extracting means 331 of extracting an image of a pattern for position detection indicating a position of a lens array from each of images obtained by imaging a pattern for position detection together with a subject by the two imaging devices 11 that an imaging apparatus is equipped with, a discrimination means 341 of discriminating whether the extracted images of the pattern for position detection shift from each other by a half pixel, a movement quantity calculating means 342 of calculating a movement quantity for shifting positions of the imaging devices 11 so that images of the pattern for position detection may shift from each other by a half pixel when they do not shift by a half pixel, and a driving control means 351 of outputting a driving signal to an imaging device moving means 12 of moving the imaging devices 11 on the basis of the calculated movement quantity.
