<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and lightweight protective tube installation tool having excellent workability without requiring a large force and capable of simply installing a protective tube on an electric wire, while preventing the rocking and vibration of the electric wire in an indirect live line work using an indirect live line gripping tool. <P>SOLUTION: The protective tube installation tool for installing a cylindrical protective tube with a split part cut in the length direction on the electric wire includes: a pinching part constituted by a pair of pinching pieces respectively mounted on the tips of two gripping pieces of the indirect live line gripping tool and pinching the electric wire; and a protective tube opening guide part provided on the outer surface of the pinching part for opening the protective tube from the split part thereof and regulating the moving direction of the protective tube so as to approach the electric wire pinched by the pinching part at an acute angle. The protective tube opening guide tube preferably includes: a strut part; and a guide part supported by the strut part with respect to the stringing direction of the pinching part at the acute angle and regulating the moving direction of the protective tube by being inserted inside the protective tube. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
