<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field device that executes arithmetic processing and communicates with an external device when connected to a transmission line for supplying power, and that needs only one configuration for low power consumption and for high-speed arithmetic processing by varying an operating clock frequency with respect to a current supplied from the transmission line and to the arithmetic processing. <P>SOLUTION: The field device, which executes arithmetic processing and communicates with an external device when connected to a transmission line for supplying electric power, includes a setting part for outputting setting data for varying an operating clock frequency in at least two steps with respect to a current supplied from the transmission line and to the arithmetic processing; a current varying part for varying, based on the setting data, the current supplied from the transmission line; and a frequency varying part for varying the operating clock frequency with respect to the arithmetic processing according to the setting data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
