The belt has successive laminated polymer film layers (2-4), where each layer including a belt center (5) and belt edges (6) extending in a longitudinal direction of the belt. The belt edges define the belt in its breadth, and are arranged in both sides of the belt center. The belt edges are respectively formed by the film layers and a textile reinforcing layer (7) laminated between the film layers, and the belt center is formed by the film layers. The reinforcing layer is formed of a material selected from a group consisting of polyamide, aramid, polyester, carbon, glass or metal.
