<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a defect restoration method of display device capable of suppressing the occurrence of a defect due to foreign matter produced in a manufacturing process and, even when the defect occurs, capable of restoring the defect easily and reliably. <P>SOLUTION: The display device is provided with: an insulation substrate 1 on which a display region comprising a plurality of pixels is formed; and a counter substrate 6 which is disposed opposite to the insulation substrate 1 and has a counter electrode 11 formed on the surface opposite to the insulation substrate 1; wherein a removal part 12 where the counter electrode is not formed is disposed along a scanning line or an image signal line on the part corresponding to the scanning line of scanning the pixel or the image signal line connected to the pixel, on the counter electrode 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
