PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent welding method realizing high-quality welding, by which a phosphor bronze layer is formed on a base material of carbon steel and which does not cause so-called liquid-metal embrittlement due to the intergranular penetration of copper into the carbon steel, and to provide a structure manufactured by the same welding method. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the welding method, by which the phosphor bronze layer is formed on the base material of carbon steel. In the method, the surface of the base material is cladded with nickel by welding to form a nickel layer, and further the nickel layer is cladded with phosphor bronze by welding. It is preferable to use nickel as pure as possible, namely 93% or more in purity. There is no special limit for the cladding method of welding nickel onto the surface of the base material, and arc welding, for example, is acceptable. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
