PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device hardly causing water stagnation in a cowl. SOLUTION: The wiper device has a pivot 17a mounted with a wiper arm and held and arranged in the cowl 27 of a vehicle in a state of penetrating a deck garnish 15. Sponge 30 is mounted to an upper face 17b of a pivot holder 17 to surround the pivot 17a. A cylindrical water collecting part 29 is mounted in a pivot insertion hole 28 of the deck garnish 15, and its lower end opening is blocked with the sponge 30.
