TONER FOR ELECTROSTATIC IMAGE DEVELOPMENT

A toner for electrostatic image development which comprises at least a binder resin, a coloring agent and a mold release agent is added with a polymerized rosin ester, a disproportionated rosin ester having a softening point of 108 to 135°C as measured by a ring and ball method or a colorless rosin ester having a Hazen color number of 400 or lower as measured in accordance with JIS K 6901. By adding a specific rosin ester as mentioned above to the toner, the toner can be improved in the compatibility or dispersibility of the mold release agent, the uneven distribution of the mold release agent in the toner or the release of the mold release agent from the toner can be prevented, and therefore the toner can exhibit good properties.
