<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize power saving of a display part without causing trouble in display. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device has: an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) 203 displaying information; a display data memory 202a holding display data before displaying them on the LCD 203; and an LCD controller 202 driving the LCD 203 by use of the display data held in the display data memory 202a.
