<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RF communication system for pairing a remote control transmitter and a controlled apparatus without the necessity of executing pairing operations for individual controlled apparatuses and a remote control transmitter and without imposing burden of the operation on a user side. <P>SOLUTION: When the operator initially uses the remote control transmitter to control the controlled apparatus with a specific operation, the remote control transmitter transmits RF packet data containing a master ID, control data, and a status code indicating a pairing start via an RF signal, and the controlled apparatus having received the RF signal transmits RF packet data containing a slave ID, the master ID, and a status code indicating pairing ACK to the remote control transmitter via an RF signal, and the controlled apparatus further performs an operation based on the control data included in the RF packet data demodulated from the received RF signal.
